La Liga president Javier Tebas has been quizzed on Real Madrid’s plans to compile a dossier on Spanish refereeing to send to FIFA.
The report is expected to “heavily feature” Barcelona and comes after Los Blancos have been left fuming about the officiating after just a few weeks of the new season.
Here’s what Tebas thinks about the saga:
“Regarding the report that will be sent, as RMTV said it’s about Spanish refereeing, it will be about everything: small, medium, and large. If it’s only about Madrid-Barcelona,
it will be a biased report.
“We’ve had data from Opta for a few years now, since 2005. We see the expulsions of all the clubs, what happened with the penalties, I haven’t seen any report on penalties on RMTV.
“It’s curious that with data reports, some only from the last 10 years, others from the entire century… you have to be very careful with what you say because it damages the competition.”
