Ken Rosenthal of the Athletic has listed the Guardians as one of four teams interested in acquiring Taylor Ward from the Baltimore Orioles.
While this doesn’t mean the Guardians will acquire Ward, it is good news that they are at the table in those discussions as it indicates an active approach to improving their offense before Monday’s 6pm ET trade deadline.

Ward has a 118 wRC+ with a .248/.383/.350 slashline. His career slugging percentage is .426 so an acquiring team may be hoping for some regression to past norms, there.
What do you think of Ward as a potential acquisition for the Guardians?
