With the way Bayern Munich has been playing so far this season, there’s presumably no need to change anything from Vincent Kompany’s point of view, but the squad planning that goes on at the club is a never-ending
job. The trio of Hiroki Ito, Jamal Musiala, and Alphonso Davies are only just about to make their returns to action after lengthy injury layovers, but the club is actively planning for what moves they are going to try to make this winter and next summer, especially after a difficult summer of navigating through missing out on Florian Wirtz. Thankfully, with Luis Díaz, Bayern signed someone that has been having an amazing maiden season in the Bundesliga, as the Colombian winger has already tallied 11 goals and 5 assists from a total of 17 appearances across all competitions.
As the winter transfer window looms large right around the corner, Bayern is keeping their eyes and ears open as to what they might be able to do, though the front office has already said no to expect a busy period in January in the transfer market.
Nonetheless, football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano (via @iMiaSanMia) has recently reported that Bayern defender Sacha Boey has been offered to Serie A giants Juventus — a club that he had previously been offered to but had been turned down. His current contract at Bayern runs through June 2028 and he is currently valuated right around 18 million euros.
The was offered to the Bianconeri in the closing days of the summer transfer window, but a deal was never made, and he stayed at Bayern, having partially benefitted from defensive injuries to the squad in the beginning phases of this season. So far, he’s made a total of 14 appearances across all competitions but is not getting regular minutes behind Konrad Laimer and Josip Stanišić — it might be the right time for the defender to make a switch.
There is also change set to come at Juventus’ front office as former Genoa FC sporting director Marco Ottolini is set to become the new sporting director for Juventus. Damien Comolli has been the acting sporting director ever since the departure of Cristiano Giuntoli over the summer following Juventus’ disappointing 2024/25 season. With Ottolini soon to step in to the club’s front office, it remains to be seen what his stance on Boey would be.
