The Syracuse Orange had a successful Wednesday of ACC Tournament action.
In Louisville, the field hockey squad survived a late Wake Forest rally and pulled out a 3-1 win behind two goals from Aubrey Turner including this incredible display of hand-eye coordination.
Syracuse goalie Jesse Eiselin went the
whole way and made a season-best 11 saves and limited the ACC’s top offense to just one goal on the afternoon. The Orange will face #2 Virginia this afternoon at 1:30 with the game streaming on ACCNX
Men’s soccer held on for a 2-1 win over the Virginia Tech Hockies. Tim Brdaric scored both goals for the Orange on a windy and rainy night at the SU Soccer Stadium
The Orange held on against some significant pressure in the final minutes including a challenge that looked like it was going to lead to a PK. Thankfully for Syracuse, the video review went in their favor and now they head to Raleigh to play the #3 seed NC State Wolfpack on Sunday with a start time to be announced later. The two teams played to a tie last weekend and the winner will advance to the semifinal round in Cary, NC.
