Barcelona Atletic kicked off their 2025-26 season with a 2-0 win over UE Porreres on Sunday to make it a good start to the new campaign for Juliano Belletti’s side.
Exciting talents Dro Fernandez and cousins Toni and Guille all started at the Estadi Johan Cruyff against newly-promoted opposition.
Dro caught the eye in pre-season with the first team and was impressive again here. He went close in the first half with an effort that was saved by the goalkeeper, while
Sama Nomoko went even closer but saw his attempt smack the woodwork.
However, Barcelona Atletic had to wait until late in the second half to finally seal the win against determined opponents.
Victor Barbera opened the scoring in the 91st minute after a corner from Joan Anaya. The striker then turned provider by setting up Toni Fernandez to run through and score to secure the victory.
It’s a winning start for Belletti’s men, who will be chasing promotion this year, and good to see Toni Fernandez in the goals at the start of what could be a big season for the exciting youngster.
