TNA served a special attraction with Nic Nemeth defending the TNA World Championship against Jeff Hardy in the main event of Impact (Aug. 13, 2026). There was no funny business, and the finish was clean. Hardy failed to win the world title.
Nemeth entered to the thrill of the ladies.
Make no mistake. Even though Nemeth had some support due to his sex appeal, the majority of fans backed Hardy. The action intensified down the stretch. Hardy grabbed the ropes
to shed off Nemeth’s Danger Zone, then he struck with a cutter. Hardy had momentum and the crowd’s full attention as he climbed the corner for the Swanton Bomb. If he was going to win, this would be the spot. Hardy soared through the air. Nemeth put his knees up to block.
Nemeth sized up a superkick. Hardy blocked to counter for the Twist of Fate. Nemeth escaped to surprise Hardy with the Danger Zone. 1, 2, 3, and still champion. Nemeth beat Hardy one-on-one for the first time in his career.
Business still looms between Nemeth and Hardy. At the Lockdown PPV on August 23, Matt and Jeff defend the TNA World Tag Team Championship against Nic and Ryan inside a steel cage.
TNA posted the full world title bout for your viewing pleasure. The match was solid for a TV contest, and the veterans played off each other well.
