The Los Angeles Rams (2-1) host the Indianapolis Colts (3-0) for a 4:05 (ET) kickoff in Week 4 of the NFL season and I am taking the Rams in this one by a final score of 24-21. Both teams have plenty to gain and plenty to lose in this matchup.
The Colts are looking to show they are not just a flash in the pan, not just a top team in the AFC South, not just a top team in the AFC as a whole, but to show they are one of the best teams in the NFL.
Daniel Jones looks MVP caliber; the defense is holding
up and Shane Steichen could win coach of the year at this pace. The Colts look real. If anyone hasn’t noticed the Indianapolis yet, they will if they beat the Rams on Sunday.
On the other side of the field, the Rams are looking to bounce back from what may be the worst regular season loss in the Sean McVay era. If the Rams can pull this one off, then they are back to being looked at as one of the best teams in the NFL. If the Rams lose, then we will all wonder how for real this team is.
It’s early in the season, but the NFL moves fast, and last week showed that the Rams had arrived, but then they left the party early. Will they make it back to the dance?
Winning factors:
I’ll cite my preseason post which still holds up (through three weeks): “Week 4 vs. Indianapolis Colts: Win. The Colts will be good in the AFC, but they will not be in the same class as the Rams.“ (edit, they may in the same class)
Final Score Prediction:
Rams 24, Colts 21
