Manchester United’s Jess Park has been named as Player of the Month after a scintillating October for Marc Skinner’s side.
Having made the switch to the red side of Manchester on the eve of the season,
Park has settled into life at United with ease and in October, played a key part in their 1-1 draw against Chelsea before coming on and scoring two goals in a second-half comeback against Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The 24-year-old, who signed from Manchester City at the beginning of September, was Player of the Match in both of United Women’s two league games during the month.
Park caught the eye in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea at the Progress with Unity Stadium, as the Reds became the first side to take points off the champions this term.
Her two late goals turned it into a convincing 4-1 victory for Marc Skinner’s side, although she suffered a delayed concussion afterwards, which ruled her out of the UEFA Champions League game at Atletico Madrid, and England duty this international break.
Park and United will return to action this weekend in the Barclays Women’s Super League against Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday.
