The Atlanta Braves are having their annual Alumni Weekend during this series with the Diamondbacks. Over 60 former players and coaches were in attendance. Here is the listing of those who are in town.
There are some Hall of Famers and World Series Champions on this list. There are some from the dry times of the 70s and early 80s. What would (or did) you ask at Braves Alumni Weekend? I’ve met Dale Murphy, and I would probably be too tongue-tied again to remember what I was going to ask. I’ve always
wondered who cracked Sid Bream’s ribs after he famously slid in 1992, but I know David Justice had him in a headlock. You could always ask Brian Snitker why. That’s it, just why. That’s an open-ended question that could apply to bullpen management, lineup, or gaping maw and hat tips. You could ask Kelly Johnson which NL East city had the best clubhouse and nightlife.
I have a question for Leo Mazzone. But I’ll hold onto that one for now.
