The College Football Playoff’s selection committee unveiled its second set of rankings for the 2025 season during a live show on Tuesday night.
Indiana, ranked No. 2 in both the AP and Coaches’ top-25 polls,
remained at No. 2. The Hoosiers are coming off of a narrow 27-24 win on the road against Penn State which saw Omar Cooper haul in an improbable go-ahead touchdown in the last minute.
Indiana holds wins over fellow ranked teams No. 8 Oregon and No. 21 Iowa. Other ranked Big Ten teams include No. 17 USC and No. 18 Michigan.
The Hoosiers have started 10-0 for the second consecutive season, finishing 11-1 in their breakout 2024 season that included a bid in the first iteration of the playoff’s 12-team format. It was the first season for head coach Curt Cignetti, who has since received a new 8-year contract.
Indiana currently sits at +550 to win the 2025 national championship, per FanDuel Sportsbook, longer odds than last week.
Indiana is set to return to action on Saturday when the Hoosiers welcome Wisconsin to Memorial Stadium in Bloomington.
