What is the story about?
According to Chris Tomasson of the Denver Gazette, the Denver Broncos have waived defensive lineman Israel Antwine today.
Antwine signed just last week with the Broncos on August 26th and it was a clear move to bolster defensive line depth heading into the final preseason game. He spent two seasons with the UFL’s Houston Gamblers before landing in Denver with earlier stops in the CFL and IFL. He was an undrafted
free agent out of Oklahoma State in 2022 and he spent time on the Jacksonville Jaguars’ practice squad that year after.
In 20 UFL games over two seasons he recorded 32 tackles, two tackles for loss, and one sack. He’d be a long shot to catch onto the Broncos’ practice squad, but you never know.
