As expected, the Green Bay Packers will be down right tackle Zach Tom (back/knee) and safety Evan Williams (knee) against the Chicago Bears. Aside from them, though, the only player who is out for the Packers on Saturday due to injury is tight end Josh Whyle (concussion).
The Packers didn’t bring up a practice squad tight end this week, which means that Green Bay will be down to just two players at the position. This is going to be a tricky situation, as Darian Kinnard, an offensive lineman who has
played tight end snaps for the Packers this year, is probably going to start at right tackle in this game in place of Tom.
The good news for Green Bay is that the following players will suit up tonight, despite being listed as questionable on the team’s final injury report on Thursday:
- RB Josh Jacobs (knee/ankle)
- RB Chris Brooks (chest)
- WR Christian Watson (chest/shoulder)
- WR Dontayvion Wicks (ankle)
- OL Darian Kinnard (neck)
- DE Kingsley Enagbare (illness)
- DE Brenton Cox Jr. (groin)
Besides Tom, Williams and Whyle, the Packers made two defensive tackles healthy scratches: Nazir Stackhouse and Quinton Bohanna. Green Bay has six defensive ends up for this game and six (or seven, depending on what you call Bo Melton) receivers active, but the Packers only have four defensive tackles available to them on gameday.
The Bears are mostly healthy going into this one, with the big losses on their end being receivers Rome Odunze and Luther Burden III.
