West coast baseball is back on the menu, but in this case it means Detroit Tigers won’t have to deal with these 1:08 p.m. start times any more. The Wild Card rounds are completed, the divisional series lined up, and after a breather on Friday, postseason baseball will start up again on Saturday.
While the Tigers earned a ticket to Seattle for their first two games, the New York Yankees took down the Boston Red Sox to punch their ticket to a rematch with the Toronto Blue Jays, who only narrowly beat
them out for the top seed in the American League.
In the National League, the Chicago Cubs took out the San Diego Padres on Thursday and will face the team with baseball’s best record in 2025, the Milwaukee Brewers. The Brewers have home field throughout the postseason. Finally, their will be quite a clash on the other side of the National League bracket as the Los Angeles Dodgers will start on the road in Philadelphia against the Phillies. That should be a particularly fun matchup.
The first two games of each series should be pretty well set in stone, but beyond that arrangements could change based on weather and the whims of MLB scheduling and their broadcast partners.
Game 1 of Tigers vs. Mariners is set for Saturday, October 4 at 8:38 p.m. ET at T-Mobile Park in Seattle, and will be broadcast on FS1
Game 2 is set for 8:03 p.m. ET on Sunday, October 5 at T-Mobile Park and broadcast on FS1
Game 3 will see the Tigers come home to Comerica Park to host the Mariners on Tuesday, October 7, broadcast on either FOX or FS1. No game time has been scheduled yet.
Game 4, if necessary, will also be at Comerica Park on Wednesday, October 8 on FOX or FS1. Again no game time has been set.
Game 5, if necessary, will decide the matter on Friday, October 10 back in Seattle at T-Mobile Park, also on FOX or FS1.
