Max Olson, Big 12 Journalist for ESPN, released an interesting article detailing the craziness that is hunting for a quarterback in the transfer portal. It’s interesting that Anthony Colandrea was convinced he was going to Florida State but I also think it’s very plausible that behavior and/or financial demands of Colandrea’s representatives influenced the decision to ultimately go with Ashton Daniels.
COLANDREA FULLY EXPECTED to end up at Florida State. The St. Petersburg, Florida, native made the Seminoles his first visit because it was a chance to go home.
But Colandrea left that Sunday visit without committing. His agent, Noah Reisenfeld, and Florida State couldn’t agree on the terms of a deal. They went to Georgia Tech the next day while the Seminoles brought in Ashton Daniels (Auburn) and DJ Lagway (Florida) for visits. When Colandrea got the call from coach Mike Norvell later that night and learned Florida State was going with Daniels, he was disappointed.
“I was leaning that way,” Colandrea said. “Honestly, I almost did go to Florida State.”
And if these bowl projections are correct then FSU will see Nebraska and Colandrea in the postseason.
This feels it’s starting to get off the rails when it comes to college football:

FSU Soccer has yet to surrender a goal on the season, it’s another shutout 3-0 victory for the now 3-0 3rd-ranked Seminoles as Florida State took care of business in their home opener vs. FAU:

Brian Burns recorded his best season as a pro with 16.5 sacks in 2025; safe to say his peers have recognized his ability:
We always knew that Jameis Winston’s recruitment came down to FSU and Stanford despite rumblings out of Tuscaloosa but it is not surprising to see just how far Nick Saban was willing to go or get others to go to get Jameis to Alabama. At the end of the day, Jameis wanted to leave home because if it wasn’t Florida State or Stanford, it would have been LSU:
