Newcastle United are preparing for a summer transfer window that is expected to bring significant sales across all areas of their squad.
With several senior players and stars already linked and likely lined up for moves outside of Tyneside, the Magpies are facing growing external interest because of their precarious situation in the table and the no-Euro-football destiny they’re facing.
We all know Newcastle’s long-term planning has been shaped by Eddie Howe’s preference for EPL-ready, young-with-upside
players, but that could lead to player sales as they reach their primes.
Enter prodigy Lewis Miley, maybe bound for France.
“Newcastle United may be bracing themselves for interest in some of their biggest stars this summer, but TEAMtalk can exclusively reveal that homegrown talent Lewis Miley is also attracting growing attention, including from Manchester United and European champions Paris Saint-Germain,” TEAMtalk reported. “Sources have confirmed to TEAMtalk that Miley is another player firmly on the radar of multiple clubs.
“PSG have been closely tracking Miley since his breakthrough moment against them as a 17-year-old in 2023. His composure and maturity on that stage left a lasting impression on the French giants. Amid the mounting interest, Newcastle are understood to value Miley highly as part of their long-term plans.”
Newcastle are expected to monitor the situation closely, and obviously, they’ll try as hard as imaginable to convince Miley to stay. That said, it’s highly likely that he leaves the minute PSG officially lures him. Tough times ahead.
