Well, this is not good. JC Latham talked to reporters after Tennessee Titans practice today and said that he will be out on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams:
Last week, in the loss to the Denver Broncos, Olisaemeka Udoh came in for Latham. He was terrible.
Do the Titans have a better solution for this week? They could try Blake Hance out there. He was billed as a swing guy when they brought him in? Could he be any worse? That’s a dangerous question
to ask, as we have seen in years past. The play at offensive tackle has gone from bad to worse almost every single year.
The biggest danger here is to Cam Ward. The best way to wreck a rookie quarterback is to not be able to protect him. They didn’t protect him last week, and while the Rams’ defense isn’t as good as the Broncos’ defense, it is still a really good unit.
The good news here is that the Titans haven’t placed Latham on IR yet, but I’m not convinced they won’t do that at some point in the next few days.
