Welcome to the Morning Commute
Today we are talking about Mizzou Softball!
Mizzou Softball had a crucial midweek matchup against Kansas City where they were able to win soundly 6-0 . The highlight of the day was a first collegiate home run for Saniya Hill who has been knocking at the door the past few games. After registering two hits in each of her past two games against Arkansas, the Texas native had a standout performance finishing 2-for-2 at the plate with a home run, three RBI and a walk. Safe to say Hill has arrived.
With the win, the Tigers sit at 27-26 with a series against Tennessee left, along with the SEC Tournament.
To feel comfortable going into the SEC Tournament, Mizzou will need to go 2-1 against the Lady Vols. That will make it to where the Tigers don’t need a win in the conference tourney. If they go 1-2, they’ll need at least one win in the SEC Tournament. That being said, the tournament is formatted similarly to other sports, so the first round probably won’t be a top notch opponent.
The stage is set as Mizzou heads into its last regular-season series of the year. Also, check out Dylan’s gamer!
We have more discussion on football and basketball, diving into prospects, visits and PFF grades in the Rock M+ forums.

Missouri will then host Top-10 Tennessee Thursday-Saturday to close out the regular season.
It’s been mentioned already, but the Lady Vols are no easy opponent.
HOWEVER. This year is a unique one, and a potentially milestone to track. Why? Because the average returning production number for teams has slid far down…like, the lowest numbers since pre-COVID.
A lot of production leaving Mizzou this offseason. Plenty coming in though. It’ll be interesting to see how it pans out.
The Roos grabbed a two-out baserunner with a single but found no other offense in the top of the sixth. Mizzou failed to add any runs after three consecutive outs in the home half, and Carr slammed the door with a 1-2-3 inning as the Tigers improved to 27-26 on the year.
Statement finish from Carr. Mizzou will need strong pitching from her if it wants success down the stretch.
Over at Rock M+ we have more Mizzou football discussion and basketball discussion with the offseason picking up for football, and March for basketball.
