Barcelona have been hit by injury concerns to defenders Gerard Martin and Eric Garcia after Saturday’s 5-2 win over Real Betis in La Liga.
Martin picked up a knock in the first half and made it until the break but was then substituted at half-time in what was hopefully only a precautionary move.
Eric Garcia arrived as a substite but then picked up what appeared to be a muscle injury right at the end of the match and went off, leaving Barcelona to finish the game with 10 men.
The loss of the two players
will be of huge concern to Hansi Flick ahead of crunch games against PSG in the Champions League and Real Madrid in La Liga.
Flick is already without Andreas Christensen due to injury, leaving the German coach a little short of options defensively at a key time.
The Barcelona boss does have Frenkie de Jong available after injury, with the midfielder having been tried out in defence in training, and he could now come into Flick’s plans if Martin and/or Garcia are sidelined.
