Miami Dolphins second-round rookie linebacker Jacob Rodriguez is already a superstar in the making. His week four performance against the Minnesota Vikings has once again landed him a nomination for the Pepsi Rookie of the Week award — his second consecutive week being nominated for that distinction.
In week four, Rodriguez finished with a league-high 18 tackles against the Vikings. Jets safety Minkah Fitzpatrick was second with 16. Through four weeks, Rodriguez is second in the National Football
League in total tackles with 46 — trailing only Alex Singleton of the Denver Broncos who has 47.
His play was a major reason why the Dolphins played their closest game of the season this past Sunday — losing by just 5 points in Minnesota.
If you want to cast your vote for Rodriguez, click on the poll above. He faces stiff competition as Carnell Tate nabbed 9 receptions for 145 yards for the Tennessee Titans, Robert Spears-Jennings had 7 tackles, 2 pass break-ups and an interception for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Arvell Reese had 9 tackles, 3 pass break-ups and an interception for the New York Giants.
We will continue to keep you updated on all things Miami Dolphins as the squad prepares to take on the Cincinnati Bengals at Hard Rock Stadium in sunny South Florida this Sunday.
