No. 2-ranked Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Light Heavyweight Jiri Prochazka and No. 4-ranked Khalil Rountree will collide this weekend (Sat., Oct. 4, 2025) in the “Featured” fight of the UFC 320 pay-per-view card at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
On paper, Prochazka vs. Rountree looks like guaranteed chaos — a violent, high-octane matchup between two knockout machines. But if it were up to “War Horse,” he’d rather not see things get too ugly.
During UFC 320 media day (watch here), Rountree
was asked whether fans should expect a blood-and-guts war.
“I hope not,” Rountree said with a laugh. “I’m ready for whatever. Honestly, everything right now is light-hearted, but I’m prepared for whatever. I think that after that Alex [Pereira] fight, I proved to myself how far I can go and how far I’m willing to go — if the fight goes there. Am I praying for this violent, bloody fight? Absolutely not. If it goes there, it goes there, and I’m prepared.”
Unfortunately for Rountree, his wishes may be out of his hands. Prochazka is one of the most unpredictable and chaotic fighters on the roster, a human highlight reel who simply doesn’t know how to take things slow. His all-gas, no-brakes approach has led to some of the most thrilling fights in recent UFC history.
Of course, Rountree isn’t exactly a stranger to violence, either. While his last outing showcased a more technical, patient performance, the Las Vegas-based powerhouse has a long history of brutal finishes and crowd-pleasing knockouts.
With both men bringing firepower — even if one of them is hoping for a calmer outcome — everyone won’t have to wait long to see how it all unfolds. Just three more days until UFC 320 answers the question.
