Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Browns fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
It’s Week 1 and the start of the regular season for your Cleveland Browns! Once again, each week during the regular season, we will be keeping track of fan confidence to help us graph out the fluctuations among the fanbase throughout 2025. Most weeks, we’ll also have some other questions
about either the previous week’s game, or the upcoming week. To kick things off, though, we’re just focusing on the degree of confidence.
We know a few things that should theoretically boost the team’s perceived confidence from a fan’s perspective:
- Deshaun Watson isn’t the quarterback
- It’s a return to Kevin Stefanski’s offense
- Joe Flacco is back, and threw for 300+ yards each week in his sleep in 2023
- The Browns have two new key defensive prospects and are hoping to be a dominant unit again
- We don’t have to worry about Dustin Hopkins missing kicks again
Those are all fine-and-dandy, but is the degree of those improvements enough to overcome the teams in our division? Will we look like a more respectable team that still loses, or will we thrive and take the league by surprise?
