What is the story about?
The Atlanta Braves are taking on the Miami Marlins as they look to win their seventh game in a row. On paper if you just look at the ERAs it looks like it may be a pitcher’s duel between Bryce Elder and Eury Pérez.
If we dig deeper we see that Bryce Elder has a FIP north of seven in his past four starts despite his 3.00 ERA and the Braves have a recent history of having no issues tagging Eury Pérez for runs. The Braves have seven regular starters with a career OPS of .762 or better against Pérez in their
career. Pérez has an ERA of 1.69 since the start of July, so we will see if the Braves simply have his number, or if he was just in a funk the few times he has faced them.
