A banner debut Unrivaled season got even better for Paige Bueckers on Monday night.
Bueckers established her new Unrivaled career high, scoring 37 points on 14-for-19 shooting, including 5-for-8 from 3. She also sunk the game-winning jumper, securing an 83-64 win for Breeze that snapped the club’s two-game losing streak. Her masterful performance also included eight boards, five assists and a block.
And,
almost as (or maybe more) importantly, she made both of her free throws, with her 2-for-2 effort extending her perfection from the line to 13-for-13, and therefore allowing her to claim the first-ever Unrivaled Free Throw Challenge.
By preserving her free throw perfection, Paige earns the $50,000 prize. Although, she resisted revealing how she plans to spend (or save) the $50K.
By not missing on Monday night, Paige prevented Phantom’s Tiffany Hayes, who just met the required six attempts, from taking the Free Throw Challenge and the $50K prize.
