The Rams had a really ugly loss against the Broncos on Sunday night in Week 3, and the offense struggled without WR Puka Nacua in the fold. They’ll likely be without Nacua for a little while longer as he rehabs a hip and groin injury, and it is increasingly unlikely he’ll be back against the Eagles in Week 4.
The timeline for Nacua has been difficult to follow, with Sean McVay admitting
last week that he wasn’t progressing all that quickly, and reports suggesting that the receiver wouldn’t require surgery, but that it’s not off the table entirely. The Rams offense could really use their WR1 back, but they may just be postponing something that ends up being inevitable.
Still, the Eagles would benefit from Nacua’s return being delayed, when they host L.A. next Sunday. In a game that was initially expected to include Nacua and Myles Garrett on the opposite sideline, Philadelphia could have two fewer All Pro’s to prepare for in Week 4.
