The Eagles are still tinkering with their roster, and as we head into October, the team made some practice squad moves. Here’s an overview:
- DT Gabe Hall was re-signed to the practice squad after being cut last week.
- LB Chance Campbell was placed on the practice squad injured list.
- LB Anfernee Orji was signed to the practice squad.
Hall’s return gives the Eagles more defensive tackle depth. The Eagles have been going five DTs deep during games while Jalen Carter is playing through a hairline fracture in his wrist.
Campbell was temporarily elevated from the practice squad in Week 3 to give the Eagles another special teams contributor. It was his Eagles debut and his first regular season game
action since 2023. Bummer for him that he got hurt.
Orji signed with the Saints after a college career at Vanderbilt. He spent his entire rookie season in 2023 on the team’s practice squad, but played in 16 games for New Orleans in 2024. He played most of his snaps on special teams, but did record 146 defensive snaps and was even a starter for two games. Overall, he notched 30 total tackles, but was waived in May 2025.
The Titans swooped in and claimed Orji off waivers, but ended up on IR during training camp and was ultimately waived. He cleared waivers and defaulted to Tennessee’s injured reserve for the season. The LB then spent most of his summer with the Giants, before being released as part of the final 53-man roster cuts.
