Everyone wants to know whether Aaron Donald will be coming back to the Los Angeles Rams or not, and Andrew Whitworth feels that it’s only a matter of time. Whitworth explained to Ryan Fitzpatrick on their podcast that Donald has been putting on a football helmet and doing drills, and as far as Whitworth is concerned, Donald wouldn’t be putting on a helmet if he wasn’t serious about playing.
Whitworth is seemingly speculating, but his logic makes sense. Why put on a helmet if you don’t want to play
football? There is also the possibility that Donald is wearing the helmet because it looks cool in workout videos, point being, until Donald makes an official decision, we don’t know what his plans are.
All signs point to Donald on some level is thinking our at least has thought about a genuine NFL comeback. All signs point to the Rams being so open to it that they are letting Donald work this all out on his own time. All signs point to we don’t have an official answer yet, and Donald could come back, he could not. But as far as Whitworth is concerned, Donald’s mind is made up and as long as the Rams are in contention, he’ll be back at some point.
