Portland Trail Blazers guard Scoot Henderson will be out at least another 2-4 weeks due to his left hamstring tear and guard Jrue Holiday will be out at least 1-2 weeks due to a right calf strain, the organization announced Friday.
Portland Trail Blazers guard Scoot Henderson continues to progress through the current phase of his rehabilitation for a left hamstring injury. He will be re-evaluated in 2-4 weeks, based on his clinical progress. His status will be updated as appropriate.
Additionally,
guard Jrue Holiday will be re-evaluated in 1–2 weeks due to a right calf strain.
Henderson, 21, has yet to play a game this season after suffering the hamstring injury during an offseason workout in late September. In the initial announcement of the injury on Sept. 26, the Blazers said Henderson was expected to return to basketball activities in 4-8 weeks. The Athletic’s Jason Quick reported Tuesday that while Henderson has “made a lot of progress” during his rehabilitation, he still hasn’t been doing running or jumping activities and his return to basketball activities was considered week-to-week.
Holiday, 35, has missed the last three games due to his calf injury. The injury was initially diagnosed as right calf soreness, but the injury indication changed to “strain” ahead of Portland’s game against the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday. In 12 appearances this season as Portland’s starting point guard, Holiday has averaged 16.7 points, 8.3 assists and 5.3 rebounds.
