The fallout continues.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has issued an official statement in response to growing controversy surrounding the Isaac Dulgarian vs. Yadier del Valle bout, which took place
on the main card of UFC Vegas 110 this past weekend (Sat., Nov. 1, 2025) inside the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Featherweight fight — which ended in a shocking first-round submission win for the undefeated Cuban prospect, Del Valle — quickly drew scrutiny from fans and analysts after betting lines shifted dramatically in the hours leading up to the event. Multiple sportsbooks reported heavy, one-sided action on an early stoppage, prompting some to suspend betting altogether. Several later issued refunds after the fight concluded.
In response to the backlash, UFC released the following statement:
“Like many professional sports organizations, UFC works with an independent betting integrity service to monitor wagering activity on our events. Our betting integrity partner, IC360, monitors wagering on every UFC event and is conducting a thorough review of the facts surrounding the Dulgarian vs. del Valle bout on Saturday, November 1. We take these allegations very seriously, and along with the health and safety of our fighters, nothing is more important than the integrity of our sport.”
UFC’s statement comes amid widespread speculation online, with many fans suggesting the bout may have been “fixed” due to the unusual betting patterns and bizarre nature of Dulgarian’s defeat. The 27-year-old entered as a heavy favorite but was submitted in less than two minutes after an awkward grappling exchange led to a rear-naked choke (watch highlights).
The controversy has drawn comparisons to the 2022 Darrick Minner vs. Shayilan Nuerdanbieke incident, which triggered an official investigation and ultimately led to multiple lifetime bans for individuals involved in insider betting activity.
Dulgarian was released from the promotion late last night, though UFC officials have not confirmed whether his departure is connected to the ongoing betting controversy or simply the result of his “trash” performance.
