We all saw it with our own eyes on Saturday. Michael Hawkins Jr. was the difference in the victory over UVA. Now the awards and honors are coming in across the country for his performance. Pro Football Focus announced that he was the highest graded quarterback in the country in Week 3 with a PFF Grade of 94.1. He edged out Georgia’s Gunner Stockton who is 2nd on the list. The 3rd QB on this list is none other than Oklahoma State’s Drew Mestemaker setting up an intriguing showdown at night in Morgantown
this Saturday.
Hawkins was also named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week. The marks the 2nd time in 3 weeks that a Mountaineer has earned this honor with Cam Cook taking it in Week 1.
