Emmanuel Rivera will bat cleanup for the Orioles today while Ryan O’Hearn and Ramón Laureano take the field for San Diego. That’s life in September when you sell at the deadline and take on a contender.
Jackson Holliday and Jeremiah Jackson will start things out for Baltimore. Jackson will take right field with Dylan Beavers playing left and Dylan Carlson starting in center. Gunnar Henderson and Coby Mayo will join Holliday and Rivera in the infield.
Samuel Basallo will get the start at designated
hitter. The Orioles recalled Maverick Handley prior to the contest, but Alex Jackson will start behind the plate tonight.
Kyle Bradish will make his second start for the Orioles this season. Bradish allowed a pair of solo homers and struck out 10 last week against Boston.
