The No. 18 Michigan Wolverines (9-2) and the No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes (11-0) both had blowout wins on Saturday, and it didn’t take long for both teams to turn their focus to their upcoming matchup next
Saturday.
The Game will matter — Michigan has a great chance at the College Football Playoff with a win, and Ohio State will generate a Big Ten Championship Game berth and remain undefeated.
Both Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore and Ohio State head coach Ryan Day spoke about Michigan vs. Ohio State on Saturday. Here’s what Moore and Day said about The Game next Saturday at Michigan Stadium.
Sherrone Moore on Ohio State
- “It’s turned. The page is completely turned.”
- “This is the most important game of the year, it’s around our building, everybody knows what this is about. We’ll put everything we’ve got into winning this game. We’re excited to get prepared for it.”
- They’re a really good football team. They’re the number one team in the country. They’ve got talent everywhere — on offense, on defense, on special teams. “We got a really good football team, too. I think we got really good players. I think we got talent everywhere. We’ll prepare our tails off for this game, and then we’ll go after it on Saturday.”
Ryan Day on Michigan
- “They’re always in the back of our mind in terms of what we’re working toward we know this is the last game of the year and what it means to everyone here – in the fourth quarter once the game is in hand everybody started figuring out that this thing is coming fast – there was just a good look in everybody’s eye in the locker room. We’re excited about this one.”
- “Now this week has gotta be the best – we’ve been working towards this all year – we want it.”
