The USMNT started their October window settling for a draw with Ecuador 1-1. The US team generally looked sharp but were unable to finish early and gave up a goal on the counter midway through the first
half. They had several good changes in the first half including just moments after the Ecuadorian goal but the team was unable to finish the opportunities and would play the next 50 minutes down a goal though they were largely dominating possession and were outshooting Ecuador. Finally, in the 71st minute the US would find an equalizer as a high press, followed by some nice combination play on the right side between Tim Weah, Tanner Tessmann, and Malik Tillman would lead to a Folarin Balogun goal assisted by Tillman.
