Anthony Patterson: 7/10
Conceded two but was unlucky with the first, saving the initial penalty and had no chance with the second, an absolute arrow into the top corner from distance. Tipped another effort from a tight angle over the bar late on but didn’t have much else to do and was tidy with his distribution.
Jenson Jones: 7/10
Defended well down his side and almost scored twice in the space of two minutes, first getting central to fire a shot off the crossbar and then a well hit effort forced the goalkeeper to tip the shot around the post.
Zak Johnson: 6/10
Solid enough at the back with not a lot of defending to do, almost scored with his last kick of the game but his header drifted just wide.
Luke O’Nien: 6/10
A good run out against some lively young attackers, his passing was a little loose early not but cruised through the game.
Archie Lightfoot: 6/10
The early penalty decision seemed very harsh but he he didn’t let that effect him, defending his wing well.
Ben Middlemas (C): 6/10
A tidy display in midfield, progressing the ball up the pitch whenever it came to him. Probably should have scored after making a run from deep but his header went comfortably wide.
Harrison Jones: 7/10
Got an assist after playing in Brobbey for the first goal and some really good link up play around the box but maybe a little guilty of overplaying.
Jack Whittaker: 7/10
Was involved in both goals, first winning the ball high up for the first goal and then playing in Tutierov for the second. Was lively down the left wing throughout.
Eliezer Mayenda: 6/10
Was always looking to be positive but was often a little too greedy, two or three times in the first half Tutierov had made a good run but Mayenda kept hold of the ball rather than playing him in.
Timur Tutierov: 7/10
Scored a lovely goal to equaliser, getting onto the end of Whittaker’s pass and showing quick feet to find the back of the net. Made some good runs in the first half that were ignored but was a lot more involved after the break after he switched to the left.
Brian Brobbey: 7/10
Used the ball well when it came to him and although he didn’t get much to work with, he took the best chance to fall to him with a good finish past the goalkeeper.
Substitutes
Felix Scott: 6/10
Replaced Mayenda and was a threat around the box without anything really falling to him.
Ben Kindon: 6/10
Slotted in comfortably alongside O’Nien in the heart of the back four.
Jaydon Jones: 6/10
Was lively following his introduction and had a chance to win it late on after stepping inside a defender but didn’t catch his shot properly.
Ethan Moore: N/A
A late change, replacing Whittaker on the right.
Man of the Match: Jack Whittaker
Got an assist after a good ball into the path of the onrushing Tutierov and was also instrumental in Brobbey’s goal, closing down a defender, with the loose ball falling to the feet of Harrison Jones to play in the Dutch striker.
