Outlook: The Wolf Pack had previously appeared rather nonchalant about their blatant problems at pitcher, having lost three of their four starting pitchers from 2026 this offseason, along with their only pitching recruit being two-way player Kylie Bristol, whose strengths lie more at the plate than in the circle. Nevada finally changed that perception on Thursday, signing former CBU pitcher Annika Hollingsworth. Hollingsworth led the Lancers in wins during her freshman season (2025), but had a more up-and-down sophomore season, being just as capable of throwing perfect games and shutouts as she was of giving up three-plus runs in the first two innings. She only played in six games after March 13, with her ERA ballooning from 3.87 to 4.50 during that time. Hollingsworth is surely looking for a full reset with the Wolf Pack, hoping to rediscover the form that made her such a tantalizing freshman a year ago. This should end up being a great signing for the Wolf Pack, given how their last two talented yet inconsistent transfer pitchers worked out for them.
