If UFC’s Dana White and Matchroom Boxing’s Eddie Hearn are serious about settling their differences inside of the ring then Misfits Boxing is offering up $20 million total to stage the promoter vs. promoter superfight.
As you may know, White and Hearn have been clashing heads ever since White rolled out Zuffa Boxing and tried stepping on the toes of established boxing promoters everywhere. Bad blood began to boil — especially after Zuffa Boxing signed Conor Benn and Hearn linked up with UFC heavyweight
champion Tom Aspinall — and it eventually led to talks of a boxing match between White and his English adversary.
Bookies already released betting odds for the ridiculous boxing match and Hearn is currently a large favorite.
Earlier this week, Misfits Boxing co-president, Mams Taylor, spoke with IFL TV and revealed that his promotion is willing to pay both White and Hearn a whopping $10 million purse to stage their grudge match. That may not be rich enough to coax someone like White into the boxing ring, but it’s a nice start.
Check it out below:
“$10 million each, yes,” said Taylor. “Let’s make it happen.”
While White does have a background in boxing and works out like a mad man, Hearn is considerably taller (6’5” to White’s 5’11”) and 10 years younger. Hearn would certainly have the advantage on paper over White if the two ever squared off inside of the ring, but White seems like a true hot head and someone that may be able to dig deeper in the later rounds.
Thoughts on all of this?
