TNA has a fever for cage matches. Every match at Lockdown will be inside a steel cage. The card was mostly set prior to Impact (Aug. 20, 2026), and now a few late additions enhance the lineup. Last Man Standing and a mystery partner were added to Sunday’s PPV.
Cedric Alexander will defend the X-Division Championship against Leon Slater. That match already has a stipulation to erase Slater’s reign from the record books if he fails to regain the gold at Lockdown.
TNA upped the ante to also make this a Last Man Standing match.
DemonXBunny are set to defend the Knockouts Tag Team Championship against the Elegance Brand. Rosemary is missing in action and nowhere to be found. TNA is moving forward with a potential mystery partner. I suppose it could still be Rosemary at Lockdown, but TNA’s message on social media gives me the impression that Allie will have a new partner at the PPV.
The updated card for TNA Lockdown includes:
- TNA World Tag Team Championship: Matt Hardy & Jeff Hardy (c) vs. Nic Nemeth & Ryan Nemeth
- Knockouts Championship: Xia Brookside (c) vs. Elayna Black
- X-Division Championship: Cedric Alexander (c) vs. Leon Slater in Last Man Standing (If Slater loses, then his previous reign will be erased from the record books)
- TNA International Championship: Jason Hotch (c) vs. Mustafa Ali
- Knockouts Tag Team Championship: Allie & (mystery partner for Rosemary?) (c) vs. Elegance Brand
- Lethal Lockdown: Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers, Bear Bronson, & Alisha Edwards vs. Ricky Sosa, KC Navarro, Fabian Aichner, & Jada Stone (System earned the man advantage)
- Escape the Cage: Moose vs. Frankie Kazarian
- Final Encore: Elijah vs. AJ Francis
- Trey Miguel vs. Agent Zero (pre-show)
- Rich Swann & BDE vs. The Righteous (pre-show)
TNA Lockdown takes place on Sunday, August 23 from Chicago, IL.
