It is hard to quantify things, because you never want to lay all the blame on one player.
But after today, Jacoby Brissett will finish his career as the Arizona Cardinals starting quarterback at 3-16 and a 0.158 win percentage.
That is the worst in Cardinals history for any starter with 10 or more starts.
And in today’s win, the Cardinals made the change with 1:35 left in the third quarter, and the Cardinals trailing 17-3.
Then Minshew Mania, Minshew Magic, whatever you want to call it, came to life
and the offense followed suit in the Cardinals improbable 33-30 overtime win.
Four touchdowns drives in regulation took the game to overtime thanks to a missed Chad Ryland extra point that would have won the game.
Instead, we dealt with overtime, and an Arizona Cardinals win that seemed improbable.
However, this offense looked completely different in terms of ability to execute with Minshew at the helm. One thing we will want to see is if the Cardinals offense was good out of desperation, or if the quarterback’s inability to move was holding them back.
Either way, the Arizona Cardinals are 3-5 and the team looked juiced to have some sort of hope once again on offense.
Brissett in nearly three full quarters: 10/23 119 yards one interception
Minshew in a little under two quarters: 17/23 (three incompletions were spikes to stop the clock) 188 yards three touchdowns
What do you make of this? Well, for one game, the Arizona Cardinals are victorious and showed signs of life.
