At 0-4, the Chargers are not making the postseason. Let’s just be honest about that now. They still have a non-zero chance of punching a ticket to the postseason, but I’m not really willing to hold onto that level of hope anymore.
With the season out the window, the Chargers must look to next year and the years beyond that. That means planning through the draft and free agency. It’s putting on an estate sale to get what value they can from their old stuff while they still have retained value.
Khalil
Mack, now with three sacks this year through four games, is showing that he still has some juice left in those old bones to help a contending team in need of a pass rusher. At his age, it’s probably a very short-term rental so a day three pick is likely the ceiling, but that’s still worth it in a year where it’s already hard to see any light at the end of the tunnel.
Would you be okay with trading away Mack? What would you believe he’s worth at this point in his career? Let us know all of your thoughts on this below!
