Real Madrid may have finally unveiled the Galáctico Florentino Pérez had promised during his presidential campaign, with Julián Álvarez emerging as the player identified by the club. However, that does not mean Los Blancos have stopped exploring the market for further reinforcements.
One area that continues to attract attention is midfield. Among the names most frequently linked with Real Madrid in recent months are Paris Saint-Germain duo Vitinha and João Neves, two of the most influential figures
in Luis Enrique’s project and players who have established themselves as elite midfielders in European football.
Both players possess the technical quality, intelligence, and consistency that would make them ideal additions to Real Madrid’s engine room. Yet the task is virtually impossible.
Speaking to journalist Fabrizio Romano, super-agent Jorge Mendes delivered a clear message regarding the futures of both Portuguese internationals.
“Vitinha and Joao (Neves) were never an option for anyone. They are non-negotiable for Paris Saint-Germain and are very, very happy at PSG.”
The statement leaves little room for interpretation. According to Mendes, PSG have no intention of entertaining offers for either player, while both midfielders are fully committed to the Parisian club.
