Bayern Munich loanees were back in action this week — some in European play. Nübel and Stuttgart traveled to Scotland while Boey and Galatasaray hosted Juventus. We had two goals this week — one in the Champions League and one in league play against a fellow loanee. Read below to see who scored these goals and what the rest of the loanees did this week.
FC Bayern Munich
There are 11 players from on loan from the first team.
Germany – Bundesliga
There are three players on loan to the German Bundesliga: Alexander Nübel, Arijon Ibrahimovic,
and Armando Sieb.
Alexander Nübel – VfB Stuttgart
Nübel was in goal for Stuttgart in Glasgow as they took on Celtic in the first leg of the Europa League playoff round. He allowed an equalizer in the 21st minute on the hosts’ first shot of the match. After that he only faced one other shot on goal in the second half, recording the save this time. Stuttgart was able to get two goals in each half to cruise to a 4-1 win and a commanding lead in the tie.
Nübel was back in goal for Stuttgart’s league match away to Heidenheim. His goal was peppered with shots throughout the match. His first two shots on goal faced ended up as goals for the hosts. The match was level 2-2 at halftime and Nübel was still without a save. He recorded three saves in the second half, but the last save was put in the path of a Heidenheim player who scored a go-ahead goal in the 82nd minute. Luckily, Stuttgart striker, Undav, scored a late equalizer and the points were shared after a final score of 3-3.
Stuttgart will host Celtic in the second leg of the Europa League tie on Thursday. They will also host Wolfsburg in league play on Sunday.
Arijon Ibrahimović – 1. FC Heidenheim
Ibrahimović started for Heidenheim at home against Nübel and Stuttgart and did not make his fellow loanee’s job easy. He stepped up to the penalty spot in the 34th minute and slotted it past Nübel to give Heidenheim a lead. On the day he had the three shots — all on goal. Besides his goal, it was also his late shot that Nübel spilled to set up a rebound goal in the 82nd. He also had two chances created for his teammates to shoot. On defense he also had a tackle, three interceptions, and ten recoveries. He was the highest rated player in the match for his contributions on both sides of the ball. The match ended in a thrilling 3-3 draw.
Heidenheim will travel to face Werder Bremen on Saturday.
Armindo Sieb – 1. FSV Mainz 05
Sieb was on the bench for Mainz’ 1-1 home draw against HSV but did not make it onto the pitch.
Mainz will travel to face Bayern Leverkusen on Saturday.
England – Premier League
There are two players on loan to the English Premier League: João Palhinha and Jonah Kusi-Asare.
João Palhinha – Tottenham
Palhinha started for Tottenham in the North London Derby against Arsenal. He did not contribute much in the attack with no shot attempts or chances created. On defense he filled the statsheet with five tackles — including one where he was the last defender — a blocked shot, three clearances, two interceptions, and four recoveries. Unfortunately this was not enough to help Spurs not leak goals. They were down 3-1 when he was subbed out in the 82nd minute. Spurs conceded one more and fell 4-1 to the their biggest rivals at home.
Spurs travel across London on Sunday to face Kusi-Asare’s Fulham.
Jonah Kusi-Asare – Fulham
Kusi-Asare was not in the matchday squad for Fulham’s 3-1 win away to Sunderland.
Fulham host Palhinha and Spurs on Sunday.
England – Championship
Daniel Peretz is the only player on loan to England’s Championship.
Daniel Peretz – Southampton
Peretz started in goal for Southampton at home against Charlton Athletic. He recorded two saves — on in each half — and allowed one goal. He also completed 89% of his passes on the day. His teammates were only able to get one goal back, leading to a 1-1 home draw.
Southampton will host QPR on Tuesday and travel to face Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday — both in league play.
Italy — Serie A
Bryan Zaragoza is the only player on loan to Italy’s Serie A
Bryan Zaragoza — AS Roma
Zaragoza started for Roma at home against Cremonese. He did not have shot attempt but created one chance for his teammates to shoot. He also completed his 90% of his passes, misplaying just two passes. He was subbed out of a scoreless match in the 56th minute. His teammates found three goals after he was subbed out and went on to win 3-0.
Roma will host Juventus on Sunday.
Türkiye – Super Lig
Sacha Boey is the only player on from to the Turkish Super Lig.
Sacha Boey – Galatasaray
Boey started on the bench in the first leg of the Champions League playoff — at home against Juventus. He came into the match in the 83rd minute with his team up 4-2. Just three minutes later, he scored his first goal with his only shot attempt of the night — his first since returning to Galatasaray. He also completed all 100% of his passes. Galatasaray won 5-2, taking a commanding lead into the second leg next week.
Boey started for Galatasaray in their league match away to Konyaspor. He had one shot — on goal — but created no chances created for his teammates to shoot. He completed 87% of his passes — misplaying just three. He was subbed out 76th minute just moments after after the hosts took the lead 1-0. Galatasaray conceded another goal a few minutes later and fell 2-0 on the road — just their second league loss of the season.
Galatasaray will travel to Italy for the second leg of their tie with Juventus on Wednesday. They will host Alanyaspor in league play on Sunday.
Switzerland – Super League
Lovro Zvonarek is the only player on loan from the first team to the Swiss Super League.
Lovro Zvonarek – Grasshopper
Zvonarek is on the injury report with a broken finger. Grasshopper fell 2-1 at home against FC Zürich.
Grasshopper will host Lugano on Sunday.
Germany – 2. Bundesliga
There are two players from the first team on loan to the 2. Bundesliga: Maurice Krattenmacher and Tarek Buchman.
Maurice Krattenmacher – Hertha BSC
Krattenmacher is still on the injury report with a thigh injury. His estimated return was mid-February and was listed as doubtful rather than out, so he could be making his comeback any week now.
Hertha fell 5-2 to Paderborn on Sunday. Hertha host Nürnberg and a couple fellow loanees on Sunday.
Tarek Buchman – 1. FC Nürnberg
Buchman was not in the matchday squad for Nürnberg’s 1-1 draw away to Bochum.
Nürnberg will travel to Berlin to face Hertha on Sunday.

Felipe Chavez is the only player on loan from the second team to a Bundesliga team.

Chavez was on the bench for Köln’s 2-2 home draw against Hoffenheim but did not make it onto the pitch.

Aseko started for Hannover at home against Dynamo Dresden. He had one shot attempt — which missed badly — and created two chances for his teammates to shoot. Although he could not help his team find a goal, he contributed to a shutout with two clearances, an interception, and four recoveries. Scholl was on the bench for Karlsruhe’s 3-1 home win against Holstein Kiel but did not make it onto the pitch. KSC changed the formation to a back three and Scholl seems to be relegated to the bench for the lineup change. It will be interesting to follow in the coming weeks.

Max Schmitt is the only player on loan in the 3. Liga.
Max Schmitt – SSV Ulm 1846
Schmitt started for Ulm at home against Saarbücken. He only faced two shots on goal and saved just one. His teammates had a lot of shots on goal but finally equalized in the 87th minute. The match ended in a 1-1 draw at home for Ulm.

Johnathan Asp Jensen – Grasshopper
Asp started for Grasshopper and played the full 90 minutes at home against FC Zürich. He had two shots — one on goal and one missed high — and created two chances for his teammates to shoot. Unfortunately he completed less than 50% of his passes and was unable to contribute anything significant to the match. Grasshopper fell 2-1.
Grasshopper will face Lugano on Sunday.
Austria – Bundesliga
Maximilian Hennig is the only player on loan to the Austrian Bundesliga.
Maximillian Hennig – TSV Hartberg
Hennig started on the bench for Hartberg at home against Grazer AK. He entered a scoreless match at halftime. He had one shot from outside the box which missed wide. He did not create any chances for his teammates to shoot and had less than 30 touches in the half he played. Hartberg scored a second half goal and secured all three points with the 1-0 home win.
Hartberg will travel to Salzburg to face the league leaders Red Bull.
Jussef Nasrawe – SV Ried
Nasrawe began the match on the bench as Ried played away to WSG Tirol. He entered the match in the 60th minute with his team up 1-0. He did not have a shot attempt nor did he create a chance for his teammates to shoot. He did not contribute much to the match and unfortunately saw his team concede while on the pitch. Ried split the points with the 1-1 road draw.
Ried will travel to face Grazer AK on Sunday.

Magnus Dalpiaz is the only player on loan to Italy’s Serie D.
Magnus Dalpiaz – Milan Futuro
Milan’s U23 won 3-0 on the road against Caldiero Terme. Individual stats are not easily available.

FC Bayern Munich Frauen

Brazil – Brasileirão Feminino
Ana Guzmán is the only player on loan to Brazil’s Brasileirão Feminino.
Ana Guzmán – SE Palmeiras
Guzmán was on the bench to begin the match for Palmeiras on the road against Gremio. He entered the match in the 84th minute with her team up 2-1. She did not contribute much to the match but helped her team secure the 2-1 road win.
Palmeias will face Corinthians after the international break. Guzmán was called up to the Columbia National team for their upcoming matches.
