While Maryland football head coach Michael Locksley remains active in the transfer portal, looking for players to finalize his roster, that action has seen two players move the other way.
According to reporting from Jeff Ermann, quarterback Devin Kargman and linebacker Keyshawn Flowers have left the program. Neither player’s profile is listed on the 2026 football roster on the Maryland Athletics website.
Kargman
was set to walk on this year as a graduate transfer quarterback having formerly played at Kent State. However, the Terps added transfer Cardell Williams from Sacramento State on May 30 — in exchange, Kargman has gone in the other direction.
After Wednesday’s surprise addition of converted linebacker Jordan Williams, former three-star recruit Keyshawn Flowers is out the door at linebacker. He was the No. 21 recruit in the state in the class of 2024. Last season, he played in 11 games, finishing with 30 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and a sack.
