VfB Stuttgart attacking midfielder Bilal El Khannouss says that his squad will not be intimidated by big, bad Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga on Match Day 13.
“It’s a big match against a big club. We respect
Bayern but we’re not going to be in awe of them. At the end of the day, it’s 11 against 11, like in any other match. We want to show that we’re capable of competing against a big team like that and we can’t wait to see how we measure up to Bayern. And of course, we’re playing at home with our fans behind us,” said El Khannouss (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
El Khannouss has been a bright spot for VfB Stuttgart with his five goals and six assists in 20 games across all competitions. The 21-year-old will have to be a dangerous option for Die Schwaben if he gets a starting nod. Bayern Munich figures to try and take advantage of a suspect backline for VfB Stuttgart, so it will be imperative for the home side to try and match Bayern Munich goal-for-goal. Will VfB Stuttgart be up to the task?
