It could all be over tonight. The World Series resumes with the Blue Jays hosting the Dodgers needing to win just one of the next two games to take home their first title since 1993. They’ve had the Dodger offense on a muzzle since forcing them through 18 innings of grueling extras just to win Game 3, allowing just three runs in the next two games. Meanwhile, Blake Snell and the Dodger bullpen have been unable to stop the Jays’ offense, but they have one final weapon in hand to force a Game 7: Yoshinobu
Yamamoto and his 1.57 postseason ERA. He’s pitched complete games in each of his last two outings and allowed just one run in each of them, and all of LA’s hopes are on him replicating that feat one more time.
Before the Fall Classic continues, we’ve got a couple things on the docket. Jeff starts us off with a look at the two times the Yankees have played on Halloween before, and then Michael gives a report card to the complex season that Devin Williams had. Later in the day, I’ll be back to deliver the latest mailbag answers.
