The Miami Dolphins on Monday announced their six captains for the 2025 season. The list comes out as the league enters Week 1 of the regular season, with Miami set to visit the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. The Dolphins’ 2025 captains feels like the exact right list of players to represent the team.
The Dolphins’ captains are quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, center Aaron Brewer, fullback Alec Ingold, linebacker Jordyn Brooks, defensive tackle Zach Sieler, and linebacker Bradley Chubb. The Dolphins trimmed
down the list from eight to six for this year.
Notably missing from the captains list this year is wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who had been named a captain each of his first three seasons with the team. The end of last year featured Hill removing himself from the team’s Week 18 contest, as well as declaring, “I’m out,” as the team missed the playoffs. Reports have indicated Hill was also among the most fined players on the team last year. It seems the Dolphins have sent a message to Hill that they will not tolerate that kind of behavior, especially from someone who is supposed to be a leader on the team.
Tagovailoa, Ingold, and Sieler were captains last year.
