In their first noon game at Arrowhead Stadium this season, the (5-2) Kansas City Chiefs host the (2-6) New York Jets in Week 9. The game will be broadcast on CBS and KCTV-5 locally.
After two straight losses to the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos, the Chiefs are looking to avoid a three-game losing streak while facing a team currently on a similar skid. The Jets lost 38-33 to the Las Vegas Raiders last week, which followed close losses to the Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots.
Second-year
head coach Aaron Glenn will face 28th-year head coach Andy Reid for the first time; the Chiefs and Jets haven’t squared off since a 2023 matchup on “Sunday Night Football” in the Big Apple; Kansas City outlasted the Zach Wilson-led Jets 23-20.
Last time New York visited Arrowhead, the Chiefs made light work of a Sam Darnold-led team 35-9 during the COVID season in 2020.
