
Jennifer van Dijk will be the first Team President of Boston Legacy FC, the club announced on Tuesday morning. As President, she will oversee the club’s business operations during their inaugural season, and shape the Legacy’s long-term strategic vision. The Legacy will play their first games in Gillette Stadium when they join the league in spring 2026.
van Dijk was most recently the CEO of Superplastic, a character-driven animation company. Before that, she spent more than twenty years working in major
sports partnerships and digital innovation at IMG, Wasserman, and the NBA.
At the media company IMG, van Dijk worked in emerging digital sports platforms for nine years. Then, as Senior Vice President at the sports marketing company Wasserman, she worked on digital sports partnerships.
At the NBA, van Dijk served as Vice President of Team Marketing & Business Operations, where she developed best practices for sponsorship and digital content for NBA teams. She also worked at the LA Clippers in the NBA where she was responsible for the team’s first jersey patch partnership with Bumble.
After returning back to Wasserman, van Dijk served as Executive Vice President of Digital and Content Partnerships, where she developed Athlete Exchange, a content and marketing service for athletes as influencers. Later, she became the CEO of Hoonigan, an automotive lifestyle and content company.
