While I know opinion among baseball fans is divided in regard to the Savannah Bananas, I am personally a big fan. They have taken baseball and mutated it into a form which is simply a lot more appealing to the casual fan. Mrs. SnakePit, for example, said “If regular baseball was like this, I’d go to every game.” We were lucky enough to get tickets for the Bananas when they played in Phoenix on their 2025 tour, and it was simply one of the most entertaining baseball experiences I’ve ever had. We struck
out on their 2026 tour, but next year, we should have a better chance at getting through the ticket lottery.
Because on May 14 and 15, the Bananas will be playing at Chase Field for the first time. It’s part of their 2027 tour, which will be the biggest ever. The league has grown to have six teams, and they will be playing in 79 stadiums across 75 cities, including going international for the first time, with stops in Mexico and Canada. They will be playing in 23 MLB ballparks, as well as 10 football stadiums. Despite the sharp upgrade in venue size, tickets are sure to be a hot commodity, and will be allocated through their lottery. You can sign up here: if you are lucky enough to get the chance to buy tickets, please remember me. 🙂
