Good morning!
The Dodgers are done in 2026.
After winning back-to-back World Series titles, the L.A. streak is over. It doesn’t mean the dynasty has ended, but it’s definitely damaged and aging.
The Milwaukee Brewers are going to the World Series for the first time since 1982 and will be playing the winner of the Rays-Guardians ALCS series for what could be their first World Series win.
A new team representing the National League — what a beautiful thing.
On the home front, the Rockies made a change to
their coaching staff on Thursday. It’s too soon to know if there will be more changes on the horizon, but it will be interesting to keep an eye on.
Find out more about all of it and more below.

Rockies fire pitching coach Alon Leichman | Purple Row
The Colorado Rockies made their first offseason change on Thursday when they fired pitching coach Alon Leichman. The Rockies still finished with the worst ERA in MLB at 5.59. The starting rotation was even worse at 6.28 ERA — also dead last. As of Thursday night, the Rockies hadn’t made the move official and there is no word on who will replace him.
Rockies interpreter helps bridge language gap | 9News.com
This video highlights the work of Edwin Perez, who serves as an interpreter for the Colorado Rockies. When members of the media interview Spanish-speaking players, Perez helps interpret the questions and answers. Perez has been with the Rockies for two years. He grew up playing baseball, but he changed directions in high school when he realized he didn’t have what it takes to be a pro baseball player. He switched to broadcast journalism, but really found his home when he found the Rockies and could use his bilingual skills.

From World Series Dreams to Rugby World Cup Ambitions: Kaleb Geiger’s Unlikely Journey
Although this is an indirect Colorado Rockies story, it’s a good one nonetheless. Kaleb Geiger grew up in Colorado playing baseball and dreaming of playing for the Rockies. He played in college, but changed gears when it didn’t look like his path to playing professionally would come to fruition. After learning he had the athleticism to possibly excel in another spot, he grabbed a rugby ball and played for the American Raptors in Glendale, Colo. He now plays for the New England Free Jacks of Major League Rugby and has also kitted up for the USA Eagles.

Jake Bauers is having the best season of his career and he put an exclamation point on it with this award. He drove in six runs and was clutch in Thursday’s win to complete the sweep. The craziest part of this story is finding out that the Brewers haven’t had a LCS MVP before despite winning the ALCS 44 years ago. Even though they beat the Angels in that series, Angel Fred Lynn was named MVP.

Good luck charm? Praying mantis pays Chourio a visit | MLB.com
There really aren’t enough praying mantises in baseball stories. One landed on Jackson Chourio’s shoulder during Milwaukee’s NLCS game against the Dodgers on Wednesday. Chourio made a great diving catch and then noticed his new friend on his shoulder. The praying mantis stayed with Chourio for a bit. It’s worth watching the video.

It’s not a very flashy free agent class this offseason, so Tim Britton looked back at the top free agents, as well as the worst and best deals for the last 10 years. The Rockies made the list for two of the worst deals in the last 10 years and I’m confident you all could guess which players own that. The Rockies also gave up some of the best free agents when they couldn’t or wouldn’t re-sign them.
