Conor Benn is pulling out all the stops to ensure a victory over Ryan Garcia later this evening (Sat., Sept. 12, 2026) LIVE on Paramount+ from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, and this includes a rehydration period that left “The Destroyer” over 32 pounds heavier.
Tonight’s main event grudge match between Benn and Garcia is one of the biggest fights boxing has to offer in 2026. With Zuffa Boxing and Dana White running the show, the build up to this WBC welterweight title fight has been
memorable to say the least. Both Benn and Garcia have done their part during fight week, which includes an intense staredown after Friday’s ceremonial weigh ins.
After the weigh ins, Benn and Garcia had a chance to rehydrate and put on significant weight ahead of Saturday’s main event title fight. While Garcia certainly packed on extra weight in his own right it appears Benn really pushed the envelope to be the larger fighter. Benn shared a video of him stepping on a scale to show off a massive 32.4-pound weight gain. This occurred over just a 12-hour span.
Check it out below and let us know if Benn has an early advantage over Garcia entering Saturday night!
