On Monday night at 6:26 p.m., Missouri coach Larissa Anderson sent out her signature bat signal, indicating somebody had committed to Mizzou. At 9:07 p.m., she sent out a second.
It wasn’t until Tuesday night that the pair announced their commitments. Both in the class of 2027, RHP Cyarah “CeeCee” Dotts and RHP/SS Jenna Mannon announced their pledges to the Tigers through messages on X. They join catcher Emily Souders in the 2027 class, bringing Anderson’s total to three.
Both Dotts and Mannon hoist rankings on Rivals/On3’s Top 150. The former ranks 104th and the latter sits at 97th.
Dotts, a Springdale, Arkansas product, most recently competed on the 18U Fast Pitch Aces, who won the Alliance Fastpitch Championship Series this summer. On July 24th, Dotts pitched 12 innings, allowing seven hits and striking out 20 batters. If that’s not a sign of domination, I don’t know what is. The Arkansas native has a serious shot at being an ace of the future for the Tigers.
With the current state of the pitching room in Columbia — which includes the losses of Taylor Pannell and Jayci Kruse — and Cierra Harrison and Courtney Donahue entering their senior seasons, Anderson is preparing for the future. The team also added sophomore RHP Rylee Michalak from Houston in the transfer portal this offseason and also has incoming freshman RHP Abby Carr, who ranks 31st in the country according to Prep Softball’s 2025 Player Rankings.
Mannon, a West Jefferson, Ohio native, plays both pitcher and shortstop. She recently received a Top 10 ranking from Line Drive Media for the ‘Pitcher – plus’ position (pitchers who play other positions, too).
Mannon pitches in the mid-60s and also is a power hitter. This summer, Mannon hit .477 from the batter’s box with half of her hits being extra base hits. She also can play at shortstop when needed — allowing maximum opportunity for her to see the field. Mannon has a big opportunity to see the field as early as her freshman season.
With Souders slotted in as the 44th best player in the 2027 class according to On3/Rivals, Anderson is starting to piece together a pretty solid recruiting class, ranking 8th in the country. In comparison, in 2026 and 2025 recruiting, the Tigers rank 18th. They finished the 2024 season ranked 25th. Definitely a step in the right direction for Anderson and the Tigers.
